A SCHOOL has beat off competition from around the UK to win an education technology package.
Ingleby Mill Primary School in Ingleby Barwick, near Stockton, has won one of 30 ActivPanels, which can connect with other devices in the classroom such as laptops and tablets, enabling students to complete tasks from a handheld device or for small groups to use its multi-touch functionality.
The school created a comedy sketch scene which demonstrated the difficulties both teachers and students face in the classroom due to their unreliable technology, which impressed bosses at Promethean, who were responsible for choosing the winners.
Glenn Carter, Year Five teacher, said the pupils were "ecstatic' when he told them they had won.
