ELWICK. – This week's meeting was a talk by Butterwick Hospice, which was our chosen charity. We presented a cheque to them for £1,403.98 from fundraising events that we have held. Next week's meeting is a leaflet drop around Elwick Village to promote our Winter Craft Fayre and Coffee Morning, which will be taking place on Saturday, November 3, from 11am-2.30pm in the WI Hall, Elwick. Meet outside the WI Hall for the leaflet drop. Katie will confirm times. We are hosting our 85th Anniversary Black Tie Ball on Saturday, November 24, at Bowburn Hall Hotel. Tickets are £25 for a sit-down two-course meal. Tickets are selling fast, so contact Katie to order tickets. INGLEBY. – This week's meeting was bowling at Teeside Park. Next week's meeting is our AGM. Meet at Ingleby Cross Village Hall at 7.30pm.

GREAT SMEATON. – Last week's meeting was a tour around Low Grange Quarry, which everyone enjoyed. Thanks to Austin and Adam for showing us around the panel-making and the concrete-mixing plant. This week's meeting is a talk by Barclays Bank on farming and fraud at the village hall. Next week's meeting is our pig-racing evening at Appleton Wiske Village Hall at 7pm. NORTHALLERTON. – Tonight, members held a committee meeting, at which we discussed programme ideas and charities to support. The next meeting is on Monday, October 29, when we are going to Hallowscream at York; meet at the Applegarth.

STAINDROP. – This week's meeting was the AGM at Winston Village Hall. Things such as roles in the club, subscriptions and our charities for this year were decided. Awards from the year were also handed out. Next week's meeting is a junior chairman meeting organised by Joe Richardson and is a demonstration by Eblex at Barnard Castle Auction Mart at 7.30pm.

STOKESLEY. – This week's meeting was a talk from the new Conservative District Council Candidate Claire Gill. It was very informative and interesting and many members learnt a lot more about politics. Next week's meeting is the harvest festival at the Christ Church in Great Ayton.

THIRSK. – Tomorrow, members are hosting the Big Bash. Tickets are £10 on the door, no under-16s. Those 16 to 18 must take parent consent forms and be a member of Young Farmers.
