THERE are still places available for people wanting to apply to be a special with Cleveland Police.
Special Constables are trained volunteer officers who work alongside regular officers to tackle crime. They have the same responsibilities and powers and must follow the same rules of conduct. Volunteerts must commit a minimum of four hours a week.
Anyone interested needs to submit an application forms before Sunday, October 21.
Successful applicants will be asked to attend at an assessment centre, taking place on Friday, November 16 and Saturday 17.
Anyone who passes the assessment centre will be working towards a start date within the Force in June 2019.
