COMEDY fans are in for a bumper month as Funny Way To Be Comedy based in Barnard Castle presents four major tour shows at The Witham Arts Centre over a two-week period.

The shows feature Zoe Lyons, Daniel Sloss, Harry & Chris and Ivo Graham.

Lyons is a regular on TV including Mock The Week and Live At The Apollo, as well as constant appearances on Radio 4. She was also a recent TV hit with her appearances reaching the semi-finals of MasterChef. She brings her show Entry Level Human on Thursday, November 15.

The appearance of Daniel Sloss last year was one of the most talked about events in Teesdale and the award-winning Scottish comedian is now one of the world’s most sought after comics.

Two of his earlier shows, filmed in LA and Sydney, were recently launched on Netflix and have been a massive global success. His new show on Wednesday, November 21, has become a hot ticket at just £12 in a small intimate venue. Sloss will be joined by special guest Kai Humphries.

After sell-out runs of their 2016 and 2017 shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, Harry Baker and Chris Read, better known as Harry & Chris have been featured three times on The Russell Howard Hour. They are drunk on comedy-rap-jazz power, intent on bringing love and laughter to a world that needs both more than ever.

Their music-based show on Friday, November 23, will appeal to music fans as well as lovers of comedy and is suitable for anyone aged 12 and above.

The busy month concludes with one of the UK’s rising stars on Tuesday, November 17. Ivo Graham, with a long list of TV and radio appearances to his name, will present a show about facing the future. Support act for the evening is another top comic, Jake Lambert.

Peter Dixon of Funny Way To Be Comedy said: “Autumn is always a busy time for us with several top comedians touring the UK.

"This year we have been thrilled to book a series of shows that would not look out of place in any major theatre in the UK. As always, we programme our events with the idea of presenting something for everyone with a diverse offering. This has proved very much the case with top international comics, rising stars, storytellers and musical acts all appearing over a two-week period.”
