A SCHEME that has already helped more than 400 Richmondshire community groups is funding a further 60 projects this year.
A total of £43.600 has been allocated - but there is still £6,400 available in the North Richmondshire district area.
Deputy Leader of the Council, Councillor Ian Threlfall, said: “This is a vital funding scheme for local projects – we have allocated a massive £170,000 over the past eight years to help 496 projects.
“The maximum amount we can allocate any one group is £1,000 but that can make a big difference – in many cases it means a project can go ahead.”
Projects to have already benefited include Upper Dales luncheon clubs, a community pavilion and defibrillators.
