A LOYALTY card to encourage shoppers to support a town's businesses has been launched.

Richmond Business and Tourism Association (RBTA) is launching the loyalty card promotion for the second year – this year with a first prize of £100 of vouchers to spend in one of the participating stores.

When shopping in an RBTA business, customers will be offered a loyalty card, which when completed with six stickers, will be entered into a prize draw. There is no limit to the number of cards that can be entered by an individual, but the stickers must come from six different businesses.

To find out which businesses are participating in the scheme, shoppers are encouraged to look for the RBTA posters around the town or visit www.originalrichmond.co.uk.

Businesses taking part include members Roots and Shoots, Estate Café, Oliviers Furniture and Arthur Caygill Cycles on Gallowfields Trading Estate; the Station Shop and businesses in Richmond market place.

Marcia McLuckie, chair of RBTA said: “The loyalty card promotion is designed to encourage people to use the businesses that are in the Richmond Business and Tourism Association. Membership has grown significantly since last October meaning there are many more businesses where shoppers can use their cards.”

The Loyalty Card promotion starts Thursday 4 October and runs throughout the month. Closing date for entries is Friday 9 November and winners will be notified Friday 30 November.
