THE iconic London, red, double-decker bus has arrived in Darlington, and along with it a youthful cast of eighteen led by X-Factor star Ray Quinn.

Summer Holiday is a brand new stage production based on the 1960s film of the same name, originally starring Cliff Richard and The Shadows.

And the stars of the show were all aboard the double-decker bus in the town centre to promote the show with a rendition of the headline song.

The touring musical tells the story of Don and his fellow London Transport mechanics as they journey together in a red double-decker bus through Paris, the Alps, Italy and Greece.

Along the way they pick up a girl singing group and a young American pop star who is on the run from her domineering mother.

Summer Holiday includes all of the number one hits from the movie, plus some additional Cliff Richard classics, including “In The Country”, “Summer Holiday”, “Travellin’ Light” and “Bachelor Boy”.

The show is at the theatre until Saturday with a matinee and evening performance bring the show's run to an end.
