HOSPICES from across the region will join forces to celebrate Hospice Care Week next month.
The care week, from October 8 to 14, is a national campaign to raise the profile of hospice care and celebrate the people involved in providing and supporting the services.
Around 200 hospices will hold special events throughout the week.
St Leonard’s Hospice will be one of those taking part, with staff delivering hospice tours from October 8 to October 12.
On Wednesday, October 10, there is the chance for everyone to get involved in their own home, workplace or school with a national ‘go yellow for hospice care’ day.
People are being encouraged to wear a bright yellow accessory or hold a yellow-themed bake sale for their local hospice.
