NORTH Yorkshire libraries will turn into ‘Fun Palaces’ for the weekend of October 6 and 7 with free arts, science and cultural activities for everyone.
Fun Palaces is a campaign to bring culture into communities and can include anything from arts and crafts to science and technology or sport.
All activities will take place on Saturday, October 6 and will be free. Northallerton library will host Scribble Set, an experimental art taster session for adults from 10.30am to noon.
For children, from 11am to noon, there will be a Code Club session with the opportunity to build a simple app.
Glitter tattoos will also be handed out.
Events at Ripon library will include Lego robot building, jewellery making, digital storytelling, creative writing and a yoga taster session.
