Baby sessions

A FREE parent and baby class is being launched at Cundall Manor School, near Thirsk. The Baby Explore class will allow babies and their parents the opportunity to bond and explore the senses through activities including listening and making music, light activities, exercise and much more. The sessions will take place on a Friday afternoon throughout the term in the school’s dedicated Pre-Prep building from 1pm to 2pm. Vehicle fire

AN engine fault is believed to have caused a fire which destroyed a car in Dalton on Tees. The vehicle caught fire at around 8.30pm on Tuesday night and fire crews from Darlington and Richmond worked together to put out the blaze. The car, a Vauxhall Vectra, was completely destroyed by the fire.

Fashion show

A FASHION Show is being held at M&Co on Northallerton High Street in aid of the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre. It takes place on Monday, September, 24 at 7pm and tickets are £3 from the M&Co store. All attendees will receive a ten per cent off voucher to be used on the night.

Music concert

A CLASSICAL Music Concert takes place at St Oswald’s Church, Sowerby, on Saturday, September 22. It starts at 7.30pm and advance tickets are £12.50 from the White Rose Bookshop in Thirsk.

Care scheme

AN information day for job seekers and people interested in a new housing and care offering in Helmsley is being held later this month at the Feather’s Hotel, Helmsley. Staff from Bransdale View, the new Extra Care Court opening on Ashwood Close, will be on hand to answer any questions between 9am and 5pm on September 27.

Open gardens

SUTTON Hall at Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe is holding an open gardens event from 10am to 2pm on Wednesday, September 26.
