A DRIVER has crashed into woodland in a car he had owned for just two days.

North Yorkshire Roads Policing Group said the driver failed to get his vehicle round a bend on the A64 near Malton, and ended up crashing into the trees.

No one inside the vehicle suffered any injuries, according to police.

A spokesperson for the North Yorkshire Roads Policing Group said on social media: “Driver of this vehicle had owned it for two days and was perhaps unfamiliar with its handling capabilities.

“As a result he failed to go round a bend on the A64 near Malton.

“Thanks to Ryedale Police for their help at the scene.”

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Malton have attended a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a pick up style vehicle.
