THE unmistakable sound of motown promises to have music fans dancing in the aisles of a theatre hosting a concert dedicated to the much-loved genre.
The Magic of Motown show will be staged in Darlington's Hippodrome Theatre tomorrow night, to present a performance seen by more than one million people, including the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance.
The night of music includes 40 back-to-back classic Motown hits, alongside choreographed dance moves, costume changes and a live band.
Some of the hits set to be performed during the show from 7.30pm include the music of Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, Jackson 5 and Smokey Robinson.
