SCHOOL fundraisers collected an impressive £800 through a scarecrow trail and family fun day.
The Friends of East Cowton School organised the events, with the fun day held at Whitehead Farm courtesy of the Reed family.
Attractions included a bouncy castle, hook-a-duck and other games.
Friends of School Chair Frankie Cooke said “We had a fabulous day, the weather was lovely and the whole village really entered into the spirit of the scarecrow competition.
“We had many entries including the village school with a glamorous ‘Meghan and Harry’, and the local cubs group who co-ordinated a brilliant entry from their members. Winning scarecrow ‘Bill and Ben the flower pot men’ was inspired.”
