THE annual Battle of Britain Parade and Service is due to take place in Middlesbrough town centre on Sunday, September 16.
This year marks the 78th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
In commemoration of this event, 1869 (Middlesbrough) Squadron Air Training Corps will be on parade and formally extend this invitation to the public to attend.
The Royal Air Force ensign is already flying high above Middlesbrough Town Hall ahead of the commemoration.
The Parade will form up at the South African War Memorial in Albert Park at 11.25am and march to the Cenotaph for the Service at 11.30am.
Following the Service, the Parade will march through the park gates for the salute to be taken at the War Memorial. The Parade will then be dismissed.
