A SERIES of science workshops for five to 11-year-olds is being held at Bedale Hall over the summer to keep young minds busy. Tickets for the events, held every Thursday from August 2 , are available through lovescience.co.uk

Sensory centre

A SPECIALIST sensory centre for children and adults with learning disabilities is inviting people along to see what it has to offer. The Pendragon Community Trust in Northallerton is the only centre of its kind in the area and families travel from far afield take advantage of its sensory facilities. Beano sessions

THE Globe Community Library in Stokesley is running sessions for junior members during the summer holidays. Between Monday, July 23 and Friday, July 27, they can attend the library to create their own giant Gnasher from The Beano comic. The sessions take place on Monday and Tuesday afternoon and from 9.30am on Thursday and Friday.

Summer teas

STRAWBERRY teas are being offered on the village green at Danby Wiske to raise money for the parish’s children’s Christmas party on July 7 from 2.30pm. All welcome.

Charity fun

MUSIC and refreshments are on offer at an open garden event at Fieldhead, Sandybank, Northallerton on July 14 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and the Sir Robert Ogden cancer centre being built at the Friarage hospital. Gates open at 1pm, entry £4 to include food, dogs welcome.
