THE horrors of coastal holidays will be portrayed by a puppet theatre company when they take to the Georgian stage.

The Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond will host Seaside Terror, performed by Odd Doll.

The show is inspired by 1970s British horror classics, such as Tales From the Crypt and From Beyond the Grave.

Odd Doll will reveal the sinister qualities of a fictitious seaside town with five stories that make up the main plot which has a moral quality, with characters receiving their just rewards for bad behaviour.

The show promises evil seagulls, zombie donkeys, vengeful ghosts and a grotesque ice cream seller.

Theatre manager Clare Allen said: “Odd Doll is one of the best puppet theatres around and we are sure that it will not only be excellent entertainment but perfect for those who want to experience something a little bit different.”

It will be performed at 7.30pm on Friday, March 16. Tickets are £8 to £16 from the Box Office on 01748 825252 or online.
