NATIONWIDE Building Society is to run regular town hall drop-in sessions, to help with everything from online banking to financial support.
Representatives from the society will be at Stokesley Town Hall on a fortnightly basis between 12pm and 3pm from Tuesday, February 6.
The idea is to provide support to the town following the announcement that local banks are closing. The next nearest Nationwide branches to Stokesley are Middlesbrough and Redcar.
The team from Nationwide will be on hand to provide new and existing members with help on online banking, information on paying bills, standing orders, new accounts and general financial support.
Nationwide stated: “In addition to this we are looking to tailor our offering to meet the requirements and needs of the local community.
“Therefore, we would be happy to discuss how Nationwide can provide support to local groups in the town.
“We have a range of seminars/training that we can provide with financial education, fraud prevention and first aid training sessions currently available.”
