AS the panto season approaches at a popular theatre, the cast are embarking on their final stages of rehearsal.
Pickering Musical Society has chosen the traditional tale of Goldilocks and The Three Bears written by member Ron Hall as this year’s performance.
Familiar face in the annual pantomimes Alice Rose will take on her first leading role as Goldilocks, with her older sister Imogen playing Prince Edwin.
Marcus Burnside returns by popular demand as Dame Trott, and Matthew Russel will play her son and village idiot.
The 50-strong cast including the Sarah Ashworth Dancers is boosted by other society stalwarts such as Colin Wragg and Stephen Temple.
The pantomime opens at Kirk Theatre this Friday, and will run until Saturday, January 20.
Tickets start at £12 with a family ticket priced at £44 (two adults and two children).
They can be bought at the Kirk Theatre box office by calling 01751 474833, or at www.kirktheatre.co.uk
