A NEW exhibition featuring photographs from some of the UK’s leading railway photographers will is coming to Shildon.
“Rail Cameramen” will be on show at Locomotion: The National Railway Museum from Saturday, January 20 until Sunday, March 4, 2018.
The exhibition has been put together by members of the Rail Camera Club (RCC), who have been familiar figures at the lineside for decades.
The display features images from 36 RCC members, including material from past members such as WJV ‘Bill’ Anderson and Eric Treacy.
Some original Eric Treacy prints will be displayed alongside his cameras and some early images from the Science Museum Group archive.
The exhibition is sponsored by Hitachi Rail Europe, Bachman Europe plc, the Bluefin Group, the Railway Magazine and the Bahamas Locomotive Society.
Locomotion, in Shildon, County Durham, is open daily from 10am until 4pm, excluding December 24, 25, 26 and January 1, and parking and admission are free.
