YOUNGSTERS had a splashing time at a winter gala that saw Hambleton’s four clubs battle it out.
The event at Bedale Leisure Centre, saw over 100 junior swimmers aged from six to 14-years-old compete in individual and team events.
Northallerton Amateur Swim Club held on to their top spot while Stokesley Swim Club took second place by one point.
The Hambleton Swimming League is a collaborative effort between the clubs in Bedale, Northallerton, Stokesley and Thirsk and Hambleton District Council.
Sam Davison, chairman of Northallerton, ASC, said the gala’s emphasis was on promoting team spirit.
