CROWDS are expected to flock to get a glimpse of Santa – and his famous reindeer.
Northallerton is hosting its annual Santa Sunday celebrations on December 3, which will see a sleigh packed with presents ride through the High Street.
Organised by the town council, the event will begin at 1pm when the Elf Run – a children’s charity fun run – will see those aged under 14 enter the competitive spirit.
Christmas markets and street food will line the High Street, and Northallerton Silver Band are on hand to provide the music from 1.30pm.
There will be a carol service at 2.30pm with tea, coffee and mince pies on offer, before Santa arrives on his sleigh pulled by reindeer at around 3pm.
Along with the cast of Jack and the Beanstalk, Santa will help with the official Christmas light switch-on at 4pm.
