A BREEDER from West Yorkshire took the Reserve Supreme Championship and Grand Male Championship at Agri-Expo’s Autumn Calf Show at Carlisle.
Miss H Whittaker, of Halifax, won both titles with her ten-month-old Coley 1 Pilot.
This well-balanced bull, which has 200 and 600 Day Weights in the top ten per cent for the breed, is out of Romany 1 Ishbel D1 M11 and by Coley 1 Maverick.
There was more celebration for Miss Whittaker when she also won the Reserve Grand Female Championship with her powerful 12-month-old heifer Romany 1 Julia BL P43. She is out of Romany 1 Julia A84 F51 and by Barwise 1 Lancer.
The Reserve Grand Male Championship went to Moralee 1 Punchdrunk from T & D Harrison, of Stocksfield, Northumberland, breeders of last year’s Grand Male and Supreme Champion.
Seven-month-old Moralee 1 Punchdrunk is out of the Romany 1 Mink bloodline, and on this occasion, out of Romany 1 Mink D1 L24 and is by SMH King Size 87K.
