MOTORISTS are being warned that one of North Yorkshire’s main roads will be closed later this week.
The A170 at Sutton Bank will close on Thursday, December 15, for the installation of a temporary barrier in front of an existing section of barrier that was recently damaged.
The work is scheduled to begin at 9.30am and is expected to be complete before 3.30pm. Sutton Bank will be closed while the work takes place.
During the closure, access to premises on Sutton Bank will be maintained whenever possible, but the nature of the work means there may be times that access will be restricted.
Diversion routes will be signed along the caravan route and the county council insists every effort will be made to ensure the work is completed as soon as possible and that disruption is kept to a minimum.
