REBECCA Hesketh has joined the NFU as the York East County adviser covering the East Riding of Yorkshire and most of the North York Moors.
Growing up on her family’s mixed farm in West Lancashire, she studied agriculture at Newcastle University before joining a horticultural supply company in Cambridgeshire as a trainee on their farm management scheme and went on to train as a crop manager for the company.
She takes over from previous county adviser Lucinda Douglas, who has joined the NFU team in Scarborough as a group secretary.
