A POPULAR music magazine has announced the line-up for its first festival, taking place in Darlington this summer.
The inaugural NE Volume Magazine Festival will be staged at venues across the town from Friday, July 1 until Sunday, July 3.
Acts from across the region will take to the stage at the festival, organised to celebrate the magazine’s first anniversary.
Newcastle indie band Dalaro and Durham pop/rock act Twister were added to the line-up today (Sunday, May 8), joining Darlington’s Eve Conway, Durham singer Craig Roddam and Teesside bands The Purnells, Mouses, Cellar Door and Shoot the Poet.
Other acts include Blue Luna, Abel Raise the Cain and The Kets, while Jimi Hendrix tribute act Sundance are scheduled to perform a one-hour set.
The magazine’s editor, Lee Allcock, said: “The lineup we’ve managed to put together for the full weekend is, in my opinion, incredible and it shows just how great the North East music scene is right now.
“I’m absolutely delighted with how it’s shaping up and I just can’t wait for the festival to begin.”
Tickets for the event, costing £3, can be booked at seetickets.com/tour/ne-volume-magazine-festival.

All proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
