AT the end of a weeklong pilgrimage across the Deanery of Wensley as part of the Church About the Dale project, a service of celebration and a BBQ was held in the tranquil setting of the Jonas Centre Redmire.

The Dean of Wensley Rev Michael Hepper led the service attended by 100 guests both Anglican and Methodist. The Bishop of Ripon Rt Rev James Bell, Chair of the Methodist Circuit Rev Ruth Gee also spoke at the service, along with ministers who had taken part in the journey visiting 48 places of worship from Leeming to Hawes.

They were joined by Member of Parliament for Richmond Rishi Sunak, along with many other supporters of the project.

Mr Hepper said: “ I am delighted so many of our friends and supporters were able to attend this afternoon.

“The Church About the Dale is ongoing; our trailer will be seen during the coming months in different locations., helping those who live in the Dale in their day-to-day lives.”
