A former public convenience has been converted into a new Costa coffee shop.
The building in the Applegarth Car Park, Northallerton, was acquired by Sanderson Weatherall’s chartered surveyors on behalf of London & City Estates.
Sanderson’s also struck the deal with Whitbread, who own the Costa chain, to lease and occupy the building.
Partner Andrew Wilkinson, said: “This is a great example of a site which, when considered creatively, can be restored to life and we wish Costa the best of luck with their new outlet.”
A Costa spokesman said: “We’re delighted to have secured such a quirky location; it certainly offers our customers with somewhere a little different to relax with a cup of Costa coffee.”
