CAROL Decker is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of T’pau’s breakthrough debut album Bridge Of Spies by undertaking a 28-date nationwide tour which brings her to Darlington Civic Theatre on Tuesday.
She is one of only a handful of artists who has achieved a simultaneous number one single (China In Your Hand) and number one album (Bridge of Spies).
China In Your Hand was the UK’s 600th number one hit single and the album, Bridge Of Spies, went triple platinum.
This is Decker’s first standalone tour in more than ten years. Now 55, she has two young children and she is married to Richard Coates, a chef with Michelin credits.
Co-founder Ron Rodgers is playing in all the shows on the tour.
