GUISBOROUGH Rhythm and Blues Club holds its tenth annual festival this weekend.

The club was started 13 years ago by Kath Whinyates and Ralph Wareing.

After the latter’s death in 2011, a small group of friends helped keep it running.

Tomorrow’s line-up at the town’s football club includes the Kyla Brox Duo and Robin Bibi and his band. Bibi is one of the UK’s top blues/rock guitarists and has played with Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and Ben E. King.

Sunday starts with local favourite Sod’s Law, followed by Gypsy Bill and The Resonators. The last band of the afternoon session is The Stumble.

The evening session includes Smokehouse Boys. The headliners are King King. Tickets for Sunday are £32 in advance and £35 at the door.

From 3pm to 9pm, there will be a free acoustic/electric jam stage with some special guests. Hot and cold food will be available. Tickets are available from Kath Whinyates on (01287) 634365.
