BAINES At Penrith Hospital, on Tuesday 9th April after a short illness, Alex, of South Stainmore (Formerly of The Tan Hill Inn). Aged 83 years. A loving husband, dad, grandad, great-grandad and brother. Funeral service at Eden Valley Crematorium on Tuesday 23rd April at 11am. Family flowers only, but donations in memory of Alex, which will be divided between Swaledale Mountain Rescue and Border Collie Rescue, may be left at the service, made online at www.walkersfunerals.co.uk or sent c/o Walkers Funeral Directors, Chapel Street, Appleby in Westmorland, CA16 6QR.
