COUNTY Durham land agents and chartered surveyors Vickers & Barrass has promoted Richard Henderson to director as part of its growth plans.

He will work alongside rural chartered surveyor and practice manager Adam Barrass and the senior management team.

Vickers & Barrass currently operate from offices at Tow Law and Crook with an office at Darlington Auction Mart on sale days. The firm will occupy a new office in the Humbleton Park Auction Centre building, which is scheduled to open in Spring 2020 and is seen as an opportunity to further grow and develop the company’s profile.

Mr Henderson grew up on a farm and remains closely involved with his parent’s farming business. He has a strong interest in all things agricultural (particular emphasis on vintage tractors) and is a member of The Rotary Club of Crook.

He brings more than 17 years’ experience to Vickers & Barrass – his main areas of work include valuations, landlord and tenant, property management, property sales and lettings for agricultural, commercial and residential property.

Adam Barrass said the directors, who recently marked the first anniversary since expanding with the addition of the Crook office, will continue to benefit from Mr Henderson’s experience and expertise.

He said: “Richard’s promotion is well deserved. Our clients will continue to benefit from his acumen, insight and commitment to service and quality, which has made a vast contribution to supporting our clients over the years.

“We have strong ambitions, and while we will develop the existing team, the next 18 months we see us continue to look to recruit more skilled people committed to providing the expertise and service levels our customers expect and receive.”
