A RICHMOND digital agency is celebrating an “outstanding” year of growth.

Purple Creative Studio delivers web, digital, creative and cloud services and has seen demand for some of these increase by as much as 92 per cent compared to the same period in 2016.

The company serves a wide range of businesses throughout the North-East but has seen a steady increase in project work across the country.

One particular highlight this year was securing a large website project for Surrey-based Tandridge District Council. It involved reducing a cumbersome 1,000 page web portal to a more structured 500 pages. The project was completed within a three-month timescale including a complete re-design and structural overhaul.

Phil Upton, managing director, said: “We have always, generally, enjoyed year-on-year growth but this year saw a lot of our business strategies come together. Winning the Tandridge District Council project was a real coup for us and shows that we can deliver large projects effectively.”

Giuseppina Valenza, the council’s head of communications, said: “Purple Creative Studio have been completely proactive in helping to drive this web project and worked really hard to deliver this within the challenging and tight timescales we set – an amazing feat.

“We are delighted with the end result and now have a website that meets our users’ demands and makes the best use of modern technology.”

Purple has developed more than 40 website projects this year. In addition to providing services for a broad range of SME, private and public sector clients, they have also successfully completed work for the North Yorkshire Building Control Partnership, covering Hambleton, Richmondshire, Ryedale, Scarborough and Selby Councils, and the Southern Building Control Partnership covering Mole Valley, Reigate & Banstead and Tandridge Councils.

One key area of growth has been in the digital sector for Social Media and Digital Marketing services and has resulted in a series of Digital Workshops to provide beginner courses in Social Media, SEO, Digital Advertising and Web Statistics.

A busy year has seen them take on two permanent staff, bringing the team to eight.
