(SADEBERGE JUNCTION TO TEESSIDE PARK INTERCHANGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited

has made an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the County of Stockton on

Tees to enable bridge repair works to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to start on Monday 16 January 2017 for 1 week,

or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am.

The effect of the Order will be to close, between 8pm and 6am, the A66:

(i) eastbound carriageway from 940 metres west of Thornaby Lane overbridge eastwards for a distance of 1944 metres;



(ii) westbound carriageway from 926 metres east of Thornaby Lane overbridge westwards for a distance of 1662 metres.



(iii) eastbound entry and westbound exit slip roads at Boathouse Lane Interchange;



(iv) eastbound exit and westbound entry slip roads at Thornaby Road Interchange.



During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times.

It will be necessary to close the laybys adjacent to the:

(i) A66 westbound carriageway approximately 575 metres west of the overbridge at Boathouse Lane Interchange; or



(ii) A66 eastbound carriageway approximately 225 metres east of the overbridge at Thornaby Road Interchange.



(iii) A66 westbound carriageway approximately 520 metres east of the overbridge at Thornaby Road Interchange.



(iv) A66 eastbound carriageway approximately 650 metres west of the overbridge at Boathouse Lane Interchange.



(v) A66 eastbound carriageway approximately 1160 metres west of the overbridge at Long Newton Interchange.



(vi) A19 southbound carriageway approximately 502 metres west of the nose of the eastbound exit slip road at Portrack Interchange.



(vii) A19 northbound carriageway approximately 670 metres south of the nose of the northbound exit slip road at Mandale Interchange.



Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 15 January 2017 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.

THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (SCOTCH CORNER ROUNDABOUT

TO NORTH STAINMORE JUNCTION) (TEMPORARY 50 MILES

PER HOUR, 40 MILES PER HOUR AND 10 MILES PER HOUR SPEED

RESTRICTION)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the Counties of Durham and North Yorkshire, to enable traffic sign replacement, tree removal, barrier re-tensioning, gully cleaning and retexturing of carriageway surface works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start at 8pm on Monday 6 February 2017 for 6 weeks or until completed.

The effect of the Order will be to impose, a temporary 50mph, 40mph and at times a 10mph speed restriction on the A66 eastbound and westbound carriageways from Scotch Corner Roundabout to 9,975 metres west of Bowes Interchange, a distance of 34,850 metres. The 10mph limit will only apply when, for safety reasons, traffic has to be escorted through the works by a highway maintenance vehicle. When required, traffic management will be in operation 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles). Access will be maintained at all times to premises and properties, which are accessible from, and only from, the A66. The Order comes in to force on the 5 February 2017 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.

THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (BLACKWELL ROUNDABOUT TO TEESSIDE PARK INTERCHANGE) (TEMPORARY 50 MILES PER HOUR, 40 MILES PER HOUR AND 10 MILES PER HOUR SPEED RESTRICTION) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the Districts of Darlington and Stockton on Tees, to enable traffic sign replacement, tree removal, barrier re-tensioning, gully cleaning and retexturing of carriageway surface works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start at 8pm on Monday 6 February 2017 for 6 weeks or until completed.

The effect of the Order will be to impose, a temporary 50mph, 40mph and at times a 10mph speed restriction on the A66 eastbound and westbound carriageways from Blackwell Roundabout to Teesside Park Junction, a distance of 22,950 metres. The 10mph limit will only apply when, for safety reasons, traffic has to be escorted through the works by a highway maintenance vehicle.

When required, traffic management will be in operation 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles). Access will be maintained at all times to premises and properties, which are accessible from, and only from, the A66.
