Notice is hereby given that on 08/10/21 North Yorkshire County Council made an Order under Sections 9 & 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004 & of all other enabling powers, & after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act by introducing the restrictions specified in the table: Schedule I - Waiting Prohibited at Any Time Except for Disabled Badge Holders & Loading Bay. A684 - Market Place (South side) From a point 2 metres west of its junction with the westernmost side of the vehicular access between properties 12A & 13 to a point 22 metres west of its junction with the westernmost side of the vehicular access between properties 12A & 13 - Loading bay restricition. A684 - Market Place (South side) From a point 22 metres west of its junction with the westernmost side of the vehicular access between properties 12A & 13 to a point 29 metres west of its junction with the westernmost side of the vehicular access between properties 12A & 13 - Disabled parking bay restriction. A684 - Market Place (South side) From a point 87.5 metres north west of its junction with the west side of Hetton Garth to a a point 95.5 metres north west of its junction with the west side of Hetton Garth - No waiting at any time. A684 - Market Place (South side) From point 95.5 metres north west of its junction with the west side of Hetton Garth to its its junction with the eastern extent of the zig zag markings for the signalised pedestrian crossing - No waiting at any time (Carriageway only). A684 - Market Place (South side) From From its junction with the western extent of the zig zag markings for the signalised pedestrian crossing to its junction with the A684 Wensley Road - No waiting at any time (Carriageway Only). Schedule 2 - Revocations. North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Richmondshire) Consolidation Order 2013 is hereby revoked as detailed in the following Schedule: A684 (South side of Market Place) From point 45 metres west of its junction with the centre line of the access road across the Market Place for a distance of 12.5 metres in a westerly direction - No waiting at any time. A684 (South side of Market Place) From a point 57.5 metres west of its junction with the centre line of the access road across the Market Place for a distance of 40 metres in a westerly direction - No waiting at any time. A684 (South side of Market Place) From a point 6 metres east of its junction with the centre line of the access road across the Market Place for a distance of 43.5 metres in a westerly direction - No waiting at any time. A684 (South side of Market Place) From a point 97.5 metres west of its junction with the centre line of the access road across the Market Place for a distance of 13 metres in a westerly direction - No waiting at any time. A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 17/10/21, together with a map showing the roads affected may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton, during normal office hours between 15/10/21 & 19/11/21 & also available to be viewed online at

. The County Council will be considering, in due course, whether the provisions of the Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Within a period of six months from the coming into force of the Order, or if the Order is subsequently varied or modified, from the coming into operation of that variation or modification (whichever is the later), any person may object to the making of an Order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation. Any person wishing to object to the indefinite continuation of the Order must state the grounds for their objection, in writing, addressed to Area 1 Richmond Office, Gatherley Road Industrial Estate, Brompton on Swale, Richmond, North Yorkshire DL10 7JQ or by email to area!

If you wish to question the validity of the above Experimental Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 08/10/21 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
