MEAD Shirley Passed away peacefully on July14 in the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, aged 85 years, in the arms of Harry, her husband of 61 years, after a devastating stroke on June 16. Greatly loved by Harry and much-cherished by the whole family, daughters Helen and Jill, late son Stephen, son-in-law Andrew and grandchildren Molly, Rosie and Ned. Shirley was a lady of tremendous spirit, never happier than when pleasing others. A private family service will take place on Thursday, July 29 at Kirkleatham Crematorium. The cortege will leave from Shirley's home in Great Broughton at 1.15pm.
