BIRBECK Alan It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alan, aged 78 years on Tuesday February 23, with his family by his side, after an illness which he fought with great courage. Dearly loved husband of the late Ruth, loving father of Christine and Stephen , dear father-in-law of Stewart and a much loved and adored grandad (Pops) to Graham, Claire and Violet. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Due to current guidance a private Funeral Service for family and close friends will take place at Kirkby Stephen Methodist Church at 13.30 on Tuesday March 9, followed by a private burial. The Funeral Cortwill leave Nateby at 13.15 and those wishing to pay their respects are invited to do so by lining the route as we travel from Nateby into Kirkby Stephen down South Road to the Methodist Chapel.
