Remembering Bill from his time in Ticehurst East Sussex. At 13 I served at the 8am communion then went with him in his yellow Lada estate to play the organ at the 9.30am service in Flimwell and then back to sing in the choir at 11am at St Mary's. When his black labrador escaped and encountered an amorous springer spaniel we had one of the resulting excitable puppies who would wet herself every time we bumped into Bill in the village, such was her joy at seeing him. Thinking of Bill, Joan and their family may he rest in peace and rise in Glory. Richard Karn
