A two-day event, showcasing some of the very best designers and craftspeople from around the region. The emphasis will be on original and contemporary work, with a strong 'up-cycled' theme. There will be an opportunity to meet the designer-makers in person and buy unique handcrafted goods of gallery quality. As well as talented craftspeople selling their work, some will be demonstrating their skills and throughout the weekend there will also be ‘have a go’ sessions where people of all ages can try their hand at learning a new craft. 01748-825640.

Celebrating 150 years since the publication of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, lots of fun for families in the hall and grounds. The Mad Hatter is paying a visit on Good Friday and Easter Saturday, follow the white rabbit and playing card trails, meet the Mad Hatter, bring some grown-ups for a pot of Mad Hatter tea and enjoy a cake whilst the Dormouse is asleep. Then and on Easter Sunday and Monday the March Hare will be leaping around, performing circus skills on his uni-cycle and stilts, juggling and reciting nonsense poems. The Easter Bunny is back from Good Friday until Easter Monday 6 April. Trails, indoors and out, £2 with a Cadbury Egghead prize. Medieval Falconry, Rievaulx Abbey, Helmsley from Good Friday, until Easter Monday, 12-5pm.

Join the costumed master medieval falconers, Raphael Falconry with demonstrations of the Sport of Kings. Witness spectacular aerial displays of birds of prey in flight and discover how these birds were used by the nobles of the Medieval period for sport and for the table.

Stockton Calling, various venues around Stockton on Saturday, from 2pm

Teesside's multi-venue, all day, music spectacular returns on Saturday for the sixth year after four consecutive sell outs. The ever- expanding event takes in eight of Stockton's finest venues and showcases the best in new and established acts from around the UK and beyond. Highlights include The Ordinary Boys at the ARC and Nigel R. Clark from Dodgy will perform his acoustic set at The Vault.
