Last week, we showed Bedale in January 1957, which included a two-tone car parked on the cobbles.
Among those who identified it as a Mark 1 Ford Consul were Michael Waldman in Worton, near Leyburn, David Mason in Melmerby, near Ripon, John Weighell in Neasham, near Darlington, and Jim Bishburn of Sunderland (we hope that’s right – the line wasn’t very good when Jim left his message).
However, it wasn’t a unanimous identification – David Simpson in Skeeby and Mark Cooper in Darlington suggested it was a Mark 1 Ford Zodiac.
This week’s picture shows Stokesley town hall in December 1962. How about identifying the car with the rounded back parked over the gutter – registration BXG 913. Email chris.lloyd@nne.co.uk or call 01325-505062.
