IN CELEBRATION of an extension to the auctioneer firm, Tennants in Leyburn has held various opening events including a visit from celebrity antique specialist, charity preview and most recently a drinks reception.
Tennants has in the last three months welcomed BBC’s Bargain Hunt host Tim Wonnacott to a special valuation event, hosted a solo exhibition with artist Hugh Miller, and held a charity preview of the new Garden Rooms in aid of the Bar Convent Living Project in York.
Earlier this month, Jane Tennant welcomed 500 guests to the official opening of the Garden Rooms as a representative of the fourth generation of the family working in the business.
Her father Rodney Tennant, gave an overview of the business, and Rishi Sunak, prospective conservative parliamentary candidate for Richmondshire, talked about the economic impact Tennants.
Mr Barry Dodd, Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire wrapped up the speeches by pronouncing the Garden Rooms open.
