AN EXHIBITION showcasing the work of two friends opens at The Station in Richmond on Saturday, March 3, to celebrate the approach of spring.
Victoria Bellas Carter will launch her collection of tissue paper collages along with items including coasters, china mugs, greeting cards, sketchbooks and journals. Inspired by nature, she works in a studio at Eggleston Hall Gardens.
Suzanne Tweddle has a studio at Barnard Castle where she designs and makes glass beads, buttons, baubles and jewellery in a technique known as lampworking – making small objects from glass rods melted in a flame.
Ms Bellas Carter said: “We met through our village toddler group when our children were babies. We got talking about our unique artistic flairs and have been exhibiting together ever since.”
The exhibition runs until Wednesday, March 14.
