ANARCHIC cult comedy duo, The Pajama Men, comes to Teesdale tomorrow as part of the Funny Way To Be Comedy Club season at The Witham in Barnard Castle.

Shenoah Allen and Mark Chavez are character comics from Albuquerque, New Mexico, renowned for physical comedy, split-second character changes and razor-sharp timing – while performing in pyjamas. Their new show is called Pterodactyl Nights.

Numerous awards include the Barry Award at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Best Newcomer and Best of the Fest at Sydney Comedy Festival in 2009.

The pair began performing together in 2000 after meeting at a high school audition in 1993. In 2004, their first show at Edinburgh Fringe Festival was nominated for the Perrier Best Newcomer Award. In 2010, they had a sell-out run at London's Soho Theatre as its highest-selling act ever.

Tickets are £14 and are available from funnywaytobe.com and the Witham box office. The show suitable for ages 14+.

Next up on Saturday, October 21, are The Thinking Drinkers in a show about the History of Alcohol. Audience members will journey through Britain's drink-drenched past and can enjoy five free drinks throughout the show.

On Friday, November 3, comedian and burgeoning rock star Nick Helm returns with his new show, There Is Nothing You Can Do To Me That I Haven’t Already Done To Myself.

Another TV comic, Matt Richardson, appears on Saturday, November 11, in his latest show, Slash. Since his last tour in 2013, Richardson has interviewed millionaire dogs in LA, been ghost hunting with Craig Revel Horwood and had his phone nicked by Kate Moss.

Friday, November 17, brings Shooting Stars scorekeeper Angelos Epithemiou and his 82-year-old pal and regular guest on Steve Wright’s Radio 2 show, Barry From Watford.

After starting his previous tour with a sell-out show in Barnard Castle in March last year, award-winning comedian and actor Omid Djalili returns to The Witham with Schmuck For a Night, on Wednesday, November 22.

Daniel Sloss makes his Teesdale debut on November 28 with his new show Now. Sloss has had nine sell-out Edinburgh Fringe shows, two solo off-Broadway seasons and has appeared on the US late night talk-show Conan seven times. The season ends on Saturday, December 12, with Ed Gamble in his new show, Mammoth.

Funny Way To Be promoter, Peter Dixon, said: "This year's autumn/winter season is one of the strongest we've ever had. We're proud of the programme we've put together. It's a fantastic mix of top comedy names and exciting, innovative new comedy with something for everyone."

Tickets are available from funnywaytobe.com and the Witham Box Office.
