LEYBURN Amateur Dramatic Society is busy rehearsing Business Affairs which opens for a three-night run early next month.
Written by 'Allo 'Allo creators John Chapman and Jeremy Lloyd, the play is a farce with a witty script and classic one-liners.
The society has won many accolades and trophies for individual and collective performances along with innovative script-writing.
Business Affairs begins with businessmen Stanley and Norman trying to sell their failing haulage business to two Europeans. All goes well until two escorts ordered for the prospective buyers cancel and the men's wives take up the challenge leading to considerable confusion.
Spokeswoman Carol Thomas said: “We are rehearsing very hard. Business Affairs is a hilariously funny play which sparks disaster along the way, but of course, has a happy ending.”
It is staged at the Wensleydale School, Leyburn, from Thursday to Saturday, October 5 to 7, at 7.30pm; tickets are £7 payable at the door.
