RYEDALE Folk Museum has reopened for the 2017 season with an exhibition of costume from its own collection curated by a small team of volunteers.

The Time for Bed follows last year's successful wedding dress exhibition. Pieces on display include boudoir bonnets, dressing gowns, nightgowns and quilts.

Jennifer Smith, director, said: “Our volunteers are a very dedicated group. This exhibition shows just one of the many things they get involved with.”

The museum needs more volunteers, particularly people who to tend the garden areas and meet and greet visitors.

Anyone interested can call or email Craig Irving, operations manager, on 01751 417367 or email info@ryedalefolkmuseum.co.uk. The new exhibition can be seen daily from 10am-4pm until Sunday, March 26.
