FANS of David Bowie are in for a treat at the Georgian Theatre Royal, Richmond, in an astonishing piece of solo theatre combined with a blistering soundtrack.

From Ibiza to the Norfolk Broads is a darkly funny and moving tour-de-force account of a teenager obsessed with the singer.

Written and directed by Adrian Berry, it stars Alex Walton – commended for his mesmerising stage presence – playing a Bowie fanatic with an illness no-one understands and a head full of sound and vision.

The production, featuring the voice of comedian Rob Newman as Bowie, sold out for its three-week run in London and was critic’s choice in several national newspapers.

The show is one of the highlights of the new season at the Georgian Theatre and will be staged on Thursday, February 16; it has adult content and age guidance of 16-plus.
