BACK this spring with a new exhibition at the Station in Richmond are Victoria Bellas Carter, who creates tissue paper collage works, and jewellery designer Suzanne Tweddle.

Ms Bellas Carter will be at The Station from 10am-5pm over the weekend of March 7- 8 and from March 11-15th, then from March 17-19.

The unpredictable nature of her collage technique adds a spontaneous element to her pictures. She also has an interest in interior design and fashion, and will show a new range of china mugs, coasters and place mats.

She has a studio at Eggleston Hall, near Barnard Castle, and has again been invited by the Royal Horticultural Society to exhibit at Tatton Park Flower shows.

Suzanne Tweddle’s studio is in Barnard Castle where she designs and hand makes glass beads, buttons, baubles and jewellery using a technique known as lampworking – making small objects from glass melted in the flame of a torch on which she applies surface decoration and builds up layers of colour before the pieces go into the kiln.

"Colour is what inspires my designs, from the brightest oranges to the coolest blues," she said.

Their joint spring exhibition runs from Saturday, March 7, until March 19.
