RIPON International Festival presents an enchanting autumn family show, Peter and The Wolf and other Russian Tales, on Sunday, October 12, at Ripon Leisure Centre.
In this new and spellbinding production, renowned storyteller Martin Maudsley and musicians transform Prokofiev’s much-loved original musical tale into an unique and playful interaction between live music and enchanting storytelling, sparkling with vibrant images and musical delights.
The tuneful tale of a brave little boy's encounter with a wolf is complemented by two short Russian tales, one with fiendish fiddling and a fiery fiend, the other featuring a bear, accompanied by Ravel’s Bolero, which is called Bear’lero.
The show is touring major venues including The Sage Gateshead, captivating children and adults alike. The performance starts at 2.30pm. Tickets from the box office on 01765 603994 and 605508.
