A COMEDY based on the fictitious diaries of a steward to the Queen Mother will be performed at the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond on Saturday, April 5.

Tea With The Old Queen – The Secret Diaries of “Backstairs Billy” Tallon is a one-man show written by television scriptwriter Graham Woolnough.

With discretion and diplomacy during 40 years of service, Billy tidied up every little Royal mishap, played Dame in the Christmas panto, danced with “Her Maj” and even sprayed air freshener whenever Prince Philip ‘let one off’.

His diaries reveal all manner of secrets – crestfallen Charles, Princess Anne refusing to stop smoking indoors – even after the fire at Windsor For tickets, call 01748-825252.
