SWALEDALE Festival’s online box office opened this week for highlights including The Halle Orchestra, Brighouse & Rastrick Band, The Young’uns, Apollo Saxophone Quartet, Seckou Keita and Angela Hewitt.
Also appearing this year are Aurora Percussion Duo, guitarists Craig Ogden and Gary Ryan, pianist Martin Roscoe, Rapscallion, Sacconi String Quartet, Dodo Street Band, the Hut People, harpist Catrin Finch, harpsichord soloist Mahan Esfahani, mathematician Marcus du Sautoy, Syrian musician Maya Youssef and violin sensation Jennifer Pike.
As well as world class music there is poetry, comedy, puppetry, workshops, family events, art exhibitions, pre-concert talks and themed guided walks.
The festival events take place over a large area of the Dales in village churches and halls, arts centres and heritage buildings.
It runs from Saturday, May 26, to Saturday, June 9. Full-price tickets range from £5 to £30 and almost all events are just £3 for under-25s. To browse the full programme and book tickets visit swalefest.org.
