YOUNGSTERS are being asked to create a new temporary art installation to be displayed at the famous water gardens at Fountains Abbey, near Ripon.
The North Yorkshire Society of Architects is working in partnership with the National Trust to run a design competition for primary school pupils aged nine to11.
The new work will next year be placed alongside professionally designed installations at what is one of the trust’s most spectacular and important sites.
As part of the competition, a series of architectural workshops will also be offered to schools in the region.
Visit nationaltrust.org.uk/fountainsabbey for full details of the project and to find out how to get involved.
